The exact sentence is unknown. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a separate incident, a judge of the Leninski District Court in Mahilo\u016d branded the BBC website \u201cextremist\u201d content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the information ministry, the website of BBC News \u0420\u0443\u0441\u0441\u043a\u0430\u044f \u0421\u043b\u0443\u0436\u0431\u0430 (BBC News Russian), the BBC\u2019s Russian-language division, has been placed on the ministry\u2019s \u201cextremist\u201d list. However, instead of bbc.c\u043em\/Russian, which is run by BBC News Russian, the updated list features the BBC\u2019s international website bbc.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities designated dozens of social media accounts as extremist content, including Russia\u2019s <em>Novaya Gazeta Yevropy<\/em>, the account of activist Nasta Bazar on Instagram, pink_scarves, yuliya_warszawa, let_nasta_be, ruparbdmu, ranica_show, the Kamarouka website and social media accounts, the websites belarusabroad.\u043erg, belinstitute.c\u043em, releasenow.by, the Telegram chats \u0424\u0438\u043b\u0444\u043e\u0442 | \u0411\u0438\u0431\u043b\u0438\u043e\u0442\u0435\u043a\u0430, VATERLAND, \u0421\u0443\u043f\u0435\u0440 \u041c\u043e\u0432\u0430, \u041d\u0435 \u0411\u0435\u0433\u043b\u044b\u0439, Ewige Wahrheit, \u0424\u0438\u043b\u0444\u043e\u0442 | \u0418\u0441\u043a\u0443\u0441\u0441\u0442\u0432\u043e, Weibes Vaterland, \u0427\u0430\u0442 4.0, \u0424\u0438\u043b\u0444\u043e\u0442; the YouTube channel Ve\u010darovy Kefir; as well as Threads and Facebook accounts linked to the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian human rights defenders have declared six more individuals to be political prisoners, taking their total to 913, according to a statement posted on the Viasna Human Rights Center\u2019s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of them, Alaksandr Karmanovi\u010d, was sentenced to two years in an open-type correctional institution on a charge of insulting Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arciom Baci\u0161\u010da\u016d was sentenced to two years in an open-type correctional institution for allegedly insulting an official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u017amitryj Kalino\u016dski was sentenced to prison for allegedly calling for sanctions or other measures aimed at damaging Belarus\u2019 national interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u017danna A\u016dram\u010dyk was sentenced to prison for allegedly insulting an official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaksandr Pi\u016d\u010duk was sentenced to an open-type correctional institution for allegedly defaming the president, insulting \u0141uka\u0161enka, insulting an official and desecrating state symbols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aksana Valkovi\u010d was sentenced to prison for allegedly insulting \u0141uka\u0161enka and insulting an official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rus\u0142an Rusaje\u016d, ex-officer of the Committee for State Security (KGB), is held at the KGB detention center on charges of high treason, Na\u0161a Niva reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian authorities have annulled the passports of former political prisoners who were expelled from Belarus on their early release, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People who were forced out of the country in September and December 2026 had their passports annulled, former prisoners learned after checking their IDs in the interior ministry\u2019s database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A military court in Moscow sentenced Belarusian national Illa Ala\u0161kievi\u010d to 16 years in prison for an alleged arson attack on railway equipment, Russia\u2019s <em>Kommersant <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 30,\u00a0Pozirk.\u00a0New instances of political persecution reported from March 28 to 30 included the trial Anton Zota\u016d in Minsk, who was convicted of extremism-related charges, Na\u0161a Niva reported.
