As many as 235 were allowed to stay in Belarus, while 15 were taken to Lithuania.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d headed BelaPAN from August 2018, following the death of founder Ale\u015b Lipaj, until January 2021. He was arrested on August 18, 2021, together with Iryna Le\u016d\u0161yna, the editor-in-chief who succeeded him as CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On October 6, 2022, the Minsk Regional Court sentenced Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d, Le\u016d\u0161yna, former deputy CEO Andrej Alaksandra\u016d, and his wife, Iryna Z\u0142obina, to various prison terms.
