{"id":182737,"date":"2026-04-08T13:01:53","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T10:01:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/182737\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T13:01:55","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T10:01:55","slug":"marriages-on-the-rise-in-belarus-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/182737\/","title":{"rendered":"Marriages on the rise in Belarus in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>April 8,<em> Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>Belarus registered 52,044 marriages in 2025, an increase of 12.5 percent compared with 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 3,000 people married foreign nationals, with women most often marrying Russians (1,029), followed by Turks (71), Lithuanians (59), Ukrainians (55) and Kazakhs (50).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men also most frequently married Russians (1,006), followed by Ukrainians (148), Kazakhs (48), Lithuanians (34) and Latvians (16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, 32,037 women and 33,821 men married for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average age at marriage was 28.9 for men and 26.7 for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, 1,079 men and 713 women married at the age of 65 or older.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities registered 34,813 divorces, a decrease of 0.15 percent compared with 2024. Most divorces occurred after one to four years of marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One in five couples separated after living apart for an extended period. Twelve percent cited improper behavior by a spouse (including alcohol or substance abuse, gaming addiction or domestic violence), while another 12 percent said they had fallen out of love and lost respect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 8, Pozirk.
