April 21, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Viasna Human Rights Center will operate in the capitals of both Lithuania and Poland, the organization\u2019s leader Ale\u015b Bialacki said, commenting on rumors that its office might be relocated from Vilnius to Warsaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bialacki, the Viasna Human Rights Center is not \u201crelocating but expanding its geographic presence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince the de-facto evacuation, exodus from Belarus of activists and members of the Viasna Human Rights Center to different countries, the organization\u2019s office has actively worked in Vilnius,\u201d the organization\u2019s Telegram channel quoted him as saying. \u201cBut the time has come for us to open an office in Warsaw. Thus, Viasna will have a foothold in both Vilnius and Warsaw.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s regime designated the Viasna Human Rights Center as an \u201cextremist group\u201d in August 2023. The organization\u2019s leaders and activists, including Ale\u015b Bialacki, Valancin Stefanovi\u010d, U\u0142adzimir \u0141abkovi\u010d, Marfa Rabkova, and Nasta \u0141ojka have been imprisoned on politically motivated charges. Since December 2025, they have all been released and taken out of Belarus following talks between Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka and US special envoy for Belarus John Coale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
