April 22, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Officials in Belarus are \u201cunder scrutiny,\u201d Interior Minister Ivan Kubrako\u016d has stressed during a lecture at the Public Administration Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone should think about what they are doing and how they are doing it,\u201d the ministry\u2019s press office quoted him as saying. \u201cMany write that Belarus is fighting corruption, but cannot defeat it. I\u2019ll be frank: we have fought and will continue to fight. There are no untouchables.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even seemingly legitimate tenders can conceal corrupt payments, Kubrako\u016d noted, adding that all sectors are subject to mandatory oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian judges convicted 657 people of corruption-related crimes last year, 7.3 percent fewer than in 2024, according to the Supreme Court\u2019s data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
