August 10, BPN.<\/em><\/strong> Minsk has notified all members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) of the “biggest defense event to be held in 2023,” said Valeryj Ravienka, the head of Belarus’ international military cooperation department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moscow-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is planning to hold the Combat Brotherhood drills from September 1 to 6, in Belarus but also in Central Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anatoliy Sidorov, CSTO Chief of Joint Staff, said in February that the exercises in Belarus serve no other purpose but training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravienka said Minsk observes its international commitments, while Poland refuses to explain a buildup near its border with Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
