April 27, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has sent several congratulatory messages on the <\/em><\/strong>occasions of national holidays to the leaders of South Africa, Sierra Leone and Togo, reflecting his desire to develop cooperation with these countries, his press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka reaffirmed his \u201cparticular interest in expanding relations with Togo and developing cooperation in agriculture, industrial cooperation, fertilizer production and other areas,\u201d in the Independence Day congratulations to Togo’s President Jean-Lucien Savi de Tov\u00e9 and Prime Minister Faure Gnassingb\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian ruler invited Gnassingb\u00e9 to visit Belarus to learn about the country\u2019s potential and jointly identify future projects for implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusians and South Africans share similar approaches to state development and understand the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect, the Belarusian politician said in a Freedom Day message to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk looks forward to stepping up cooperation with Pretoria on international platforms and within regional platforms, such as the UN, BRICS and the New Development Bank, he added, expressing hope for \u201cmore tangible results across various areas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus and Sierra Leone have significant potential for cooperation that should be placed on a systematic footing, despite the geographical distance, Luka\u0161enka stressed in his message to Julius Maada Bio, president of Sierra Leone, on Independence Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian side is ready to establish \u201ca solid institutional framework for the successful implementation of bilateral projects, particularly in industrial cooperation and agriculture,\u201d his press office quoted the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, the Belarusian government announced its plans to increase exports of goods and services to African countries to $1.5 billion by 2030 and consolidate Belarus\u2019 position in Africa \u201cas a reliable trade and economic partner with modern and competitive goods, services, technologies and competencies.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
