May 11, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarus remains fully self-sufficient in gasoline and diesel fuel, according to Pozirk<\/em>\u2019s analysis of the National Statistical Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data for the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian market was also fully supplied with domestically-produced pork, butter and eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lowest shares of domestically produced goods sold in Belarus were recorded for used passenger cars at 4.1 percent, knitwear at 12.8 percent and outerwear at 14.2 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proportion of domestically produced goods in retail trade has declined over the past five years, Bie\u0142stat data showed earlier. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, domestically produced goods in retail trade had fallen to 54.1 percent, down 4.4 percent from the same period in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestic products accounted for 74.5 percent of food, beverages and tobacco, posting a 1.1 percent decline in five years, while their share in non-food goods dropped by 4.1 percent to 35 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Retail sales grew by 6 percent in January\u2013March, compared with a 10.8-percent growth in the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
