May 14, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Foreign companies invested $3.3 billion in the real sector of Belarus\u2019 economy between January and March, 10 percent more than in the same period of last year, according to Pozirk\u2019s<\/em> analysis of the National Statistical Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign direct investment totaled $2.9 billion, up 20.8 percent year-on-year, accounting for 88 percent of all investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus also invested $2 billion abroad, a year-on-year increase of 50 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging by Bie\u0142stat\u2019s data, foreign companies invested $7.6 billion in the real sector of Belarus\u2019 economy last year, 10.1 percent more than in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2024, Bie\u0142stat has not disclosed any details on the countries of origin or destination for investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, Russia consolidated its status as Belarus\u2019 key partner, Belarusian Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn said during a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarusian-Russian Union State in Moscow on February 2. \u201cRussian investors accounted for about 60 percent of all foreign direct investment,\u201d he said. \u201cFor its part, Belarus is increasing its investment in Russia\u2019s economy at an even faster pace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
