May 18, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The disinflationary trends in the Belarusian economy remain stable, the Eurasian Development Bank said in its recent report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rise in food prices slowed to 6.3 percent in April year on year,\u00a0after a 7.8-percent growth posted in March, the analysts noted, linking the development to a 3.1-percent decline in seasonal fruit and vegetable prices last month after an increase of 3.5 percent in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inflation acceleration in the services sector was expected, as utility rates were indexed, the EDB said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bank expects consumer price growth not to exceed the government\u2019s target level of 7 percent this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices rose by 0.8 percent last month and by 5.4 percent year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
