May 18, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka told the governor of Russia\u2019s Sverdlovsk province that Minsk is ready to help his region with fuel supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday there is enough fury from our enemies to put oil refineries out of normal condition,\u201d he told visiting Governor Denis Pasler, according to the Belarusian leader\u2019s press office. \u201cWe will try to help you, just as we are helping all of Russia today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of May 15, Ukrainian drone strikes had disrupted operations at 16 Russian refineries. The resulting decrease in output is estimated at 700,000 barrels per day, Reuters<\/em> reported. According to Ukrainian sources, the attacks have reduced Russia\u2019s refining capacity by 11 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia\u2019s petroleum exports fell by 340,000 barrels per day in April compared with March, to 2.2 million barrels per day, Reuters<\/em> reported, citing data from the International Energy Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine has targeted Russian energy infrastructure in response to the full-scale war Moscow launched on February 24, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January, Skhemy<\/em>, a project associated with Radio Liberty\/Radio Free Europe<\/em>, reported that Minsk had deployed a Tor-like air defense system at the Mazyr refinery in southern Belarus. Belarus\u2019 other refinery is located in Navapo\u0142ack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
