May 21, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>A total of 153 individuals and two legal entities have faced minor offense charges since last November over illegal activities involving civilian drones and model aircraft, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were ordered to pay fines, and their drones were confiscated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the violations involved the illegal import of equipment into the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus criminalized the unauthorized possession and use of drones under amendments signed into law in late October 2025. Under the new legislation, unauthorized import, storage, sale, operation, or manufacture of civilian UAVs and model aircraft can result in criminal prosecution if the offense is committed a second time within one year. The penalty ranges from community service to up to two years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a first-time offense, individuals face penalties under the Code of Administrative Offenses, which may include fines and confiscation of the equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
