May 22, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Belarus\u2019 Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin said at security brass gathering in the Lida district, Hrodna region, on May 22 that he did not see any trends toward the normalization of international tensions in the mid-term future, the defense ministry reported. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He accused the West of pursuing an aggressive policy. \u201cAs the head of state noted, summing up the result of a comprehensive inspection of the Armed Forces, \u2018There is no peace time. War has started. We live and work under war conditions,\u2019\u201d he quoted Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training session on territorial defense has brought together top security officials, including Security Council State Secretary Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d, top officials from regional and Minsk city executive committees and regional and Minsk city military commissars. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials will be shown the main types of aerial vehicles in service with the Air\/Air Defense Forces and lectured on coordination between regular army troops, territorial forces and internal troops in securing key facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 armed forces have been conducting drills more frequently since the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in March 2022. Many of these drills focus on territorial defense. Minsk backs Moscow in its full-scale war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
