May 22, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>BelPol, an investigative group consisting of former Belarusian law-enforcement officers, has published the first part of a report disclosing the identities of \u201cmore than 100 \u0141uka\u0161enka spies working under diplomatic cover\u201d in 40 countries around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a YouTube video<\/a>, which runs for 75 minutes, BelPol\u2019s Ma\u0107viej Kuprej\u010dyk unveils a gallery of 60 alleged spies, highlighting their alleged involvement with intelligence agencies, false identities, foreign trips and diplomatic postings. According to Kuprej\u010dyk, the agents are embedded within Belarusian diplomatic missions in, among others, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. The largest Belarusian spy ring allegedly operates in Russia, spanning consulates and embassy offices in different cities and working hand in hand with Russia\u2019s Federal Security Service to monitor the Belarusian community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian spies mostly hide behind the diplomatic titles of first and second secretary, counsellor and military attach\u00e9 and report to the Main Foreign Intelligence Directorate of the Central Apparatus of the Committee for State Security (KGB) and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Kuprej\u010dyk said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their main objective is to legitimize Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s regime through disinformation and lobbying and to facilitate the circumvention of sanctions, he said. They also collect information about Belarusian opposition forces, infiltrate their ranks, discredit their representatives, lure \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s opponents into Belarus and also provide various services for Russian intelligence agencies, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
