May 25, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>During her visit to Kyiv, Belarus\u2019 opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a news conference after the meeting, she stressed that the Belarusian people support Ukraine\u2019s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said she had discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus\u2019 pro-democracy forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor us it is very important that Ukraine see in a free Belarus a future partner and neighbor, not a threat,\u201d she said. \u201cWe need more mutual trust, more contacts among people, experts, civil society and democratic institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that the Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples should stick together as they deserve \u201ca peaceful, European and democratic future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The politician arrived in Ukraine on May 25. Several hours earlier, the Russian foreign ministry said that the Russian military \u201cstart consistently delivering systemic strikes on enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry in Kyiv.\u201d It also announced strikes on decision-making centers and command posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moscow urged foreigners and diplomats to flee the city as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
