{"id":191013,"date":"2026-06-08T19:58:56","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T16:58:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/191013\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T19:59:36","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T16:59:36","slug":"belarusian-pole-jailed-in-poland-for-cigarette-smuggling","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/191013\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarusian, Pole jailed in Poland for cigarette smuggling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>June 8, Pozirk. <\/strong>A Belarusian and a Pole have been arrested and sentenced to three months in jail each for allegedly smuggling cigarettes into Poland with the help of weather balloons, the Polish Border Guard reported on June 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, officers of the border guard unit in Lipsk \u2013 around 100 miles from the Belarusian city of Hrodna \u2013 discovered a package containing 3,000 packs worth more than 60,000 zlotys (over $16,000) near the state border in early June.
