{"id":191878,"date":"2026-06-15T14:08:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/191878\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T14:08:59","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:08:59","slug":"minsk-moscow-paint-bleak-picture-of-rights-situation-in-west","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/191878\/","title":{"rendered":"Minsk, Moscow paint bleak picture of rights situation in West"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>June 15, <em>Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia have published a joint report painting a grim picture of the human rights situation in Western and like-minded countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1,769-page document, released on 15 June and titled \u201cOn the Human Rights Situation in Certain Countries,\u201d accuses \u201cWestern elites\u201d of pursuing \u201cshort-sighted and destructive policies\u201d driven by \u201copportunistic ambitions\u201d and warns that the West will face worsening social and economic problems if current political trends persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report covers 43 countries, including all of Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the European Union as a separate entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministries rank Ukraine as the worst violator of human rights, followed by Latvia, Estonia, the United States and Lithuania, based on the number of pages devoted to each country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in the previous editions of the annual report, the authors claim that an \u201copenly Nazi regime\u201d is in power in Kyiv and responsible for widespread and systematic abuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They criticize Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, accusing their governments of nationalism, discrimination against minorities, suppression of free expression and fostering xenophobia and Russophobia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the United States, the report says that since Donald Trump took office in January 2025, values previously promoted by Washington have been \u201coutlawed\u201d and replaced with \u201canti-values.\u201d This applies not only to the diversity of \u201cgenders\u201d but also to the essence of human identity, the ministries say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A separate chapter highlights the situation of migrants and refugees in the EU, alleging that Europe\u2019s migration policy has departed from humanitarian principles by tightening asylum procedures. The authors point to pushbacks of undocumented migrants as a vivid example of \u201cdiscriminatory practices.\u201d They do not say that the migration crisis on the Belarus\u2013EU border is widely viewed as artificially engineered by Minsk and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report concludes by urging Western states to abandon \u201cself-isolation\u201d and return to \u201ccivilized dialogue,\u201d even as international human rights organizations consistently rank Belarus and Russia among the world\u2019s most repressive states.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 15, Pozirk.
