June 22, Pozirk. <\/strong>The deadly drone strike on a Belarusian bus in Russia last week was designed to pit Belarus against Ukraine and provoke \u201csome kind of a negative situation,\u201d Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d, state secretary of Belarus\u2019 Security Council, has said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter whose bus it was, Belarusian, Russian or from some other country. It\u2019s a bus carrying civilians,\u201d the defense ministry\u2019s press office quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka is keeping the situation under control and issued the \u201cnecessary instructions,\u201d Valfovi\u010d added. \u201cOur security services and the Investigative Committee are conducting a very thorough investigation. All the facts will be analyzed,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA decision will be made, but dragging Belarus into the conflict will not work,\u201d he stressed. \u201cWe believe in peace, prudence and the resolution of all issues through diplomatic channels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 17, a Belarusian tour bus carrying 44 passengers, including 28 minors enrolled in a soccer program, was hit by a drone in Russia. Viktoryja Haro\u0161ka, the wife of a coach from the Re\u010dyca sports school for children, was killed in the attack. Six other people, including five children, were wounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While warning against drawing premature conclusions, \u0141uka\u0161enka blamed the strike on a Ukrainian drone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied involvement, stating that Ukrainian forces did not use unmanned aerial vehicles against targets in Russia\u2019s Bryansk province on the day the bus was hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
