It concludes that Belarus continues to systematically and severely violate its international human rights obligations through ongoing reprisals and a crackdown on freedom of expression, assembly and association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minsk\u2019s representatives who refuse to recognize the rapporteur\u2019s mandate have not participated in today\u2019s interactive discussion within the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Albania, Armenia, Australia, Moldova, the United Kingdom and Ukraine, as well as PEN International and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), among others, supported the report, which reiterated the call on Minsk to end politically-motivated persecution in the country and ensure the implementation of all previous UN recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only the International Patriotic Pact Organization criticized the report. Its head, Guowein Cui of China, accused the rapporteur of promoting &#8220;Western narratives&#8221; and applying &#8220;double standards.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Politically-motivated reprisals in Belarus became more systematic, sophisticated and less visible to the outside world, Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja said in her video address to the HRC.
