June 30, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka visited China\u2019s Peking University on June 30, meeting with the university\u2019s administration to discuss its joint biotechnology program with Belarusian State University (BSU), launched in 2022 with his youngest son Mika\u0142aj among its students. Mika\u0142aj accompanied his father during the university visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Belarusian ruler\u2019s press office, \u0141uka\u0161enka emphasized that the program\u2019s graduates should generate economic value for Belarus, establishing new companies and producing goods based on Chinese technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Back when I was here ten years ago, I realized that we should achieve something in terms of education with your university,\u201d \u0141uka\u0161enka reportedly said. \u201cOver ten years, we came up with a joint program to train our young people at this university. But I would like you to understand how I see it: these are only the first steps. Our program needs improvement; we must go deeper so that the experience and knowledge of the guys who will study here spread widely across Belarus.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka emphasized the importance of China\u2019s experience as a biotechnologically advanced producer of medicines and vaccines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program in question offers a three-year training course with a possible two-year extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later the same day, the Belarusian leader took part in a diploma presentation ceremony at the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview given to Rick Sanchez of the Moscow-controlled RT<\/em> in April 2026, \u0141uka\u0161enka said, speaking about his relationship with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, \u201cI come to his family with my youngest son, who graduated from Peking University, we are friends.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka arrived in China on June 28 and had a meeting with its Xi. The trip to China marks the start of a tour of East and Southeast Asia following two days of informal talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka is expected to visit three countries, his press office said earlier, without specifying the destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
