June 30, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus on June 29 recorded its highest-ever temperature in the 145-year history of accurate meteorological observations, with the new record of 40.4 degrees Celsius registered in the southern city of Pinsk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous record of 38.9C was reported in Homiel on August 8, 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday\u2019s temperature in Pinsk was higher than the new all-time record for June (37.6C) set on Sunday in Brest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday, Belarus\u2019 highest-ever temperature on its meteorological record was reported with the announcement that Pinsk hit 39.6C at around 2:20 p.m. but final data later in the day took the all-time record even higher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As many as 12 all-time high temperature records, including ones going back more than 121 years, were broken at weather stations in Belarus on June 29, according to Pozirk\u2019s<\/em> analysis of Bie\u0142hidramiet\u2019s data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highest temperatures for June and for June 29 were recorded at 17 and 35 weather stations, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous high for June 29 (35.3C) was recorded in Lel\u010dycy in 1963 and has now been exceeded by 5.1C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Pru\u017eany (38.1C against 36.4C on June 28, 2026);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         the \u0141uniniec district (37.8C against 35.8C on August 11, 1992);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Hancavi\u010dy (37.6C against 35.5C on June 24, 2021);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Vysokaje (37.2C against 37C on June 28, 2026);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         \u017dytkavi\u010dy (36.9C against 36.5C on August 16, 2008);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Sto\u016dbcy (36.4C against 36.1C on July 16, 1994);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Va\u016dkavysk (36C against 35.9C on July 13, 1959);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022         Navahrudak (34.7C against 34.2C on August 30, 1992)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lel\u010dycy saw a temperature of 38.2C, which equaled the high set on August 7, 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to forecasts, temperatures will decline slightly on June 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
