July 9, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>The Council of Ministers reduced duties on light hydrocarbon gases by nearly half starting July 1 by its Directive No 343 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tariffs for liquefied hydrocarbon gases are down to $69.5 per metric ton from $130.2, while the duty for ethane, butane and isobutane are down from $ 117.1 to $62.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government introduced the duty on April 13 after applying the zero rate to these products for 10 months. Export duties were initially set at $5.20 per metric ton for liquefied hydrocarbon gases and $4.60 per metric ton for ethane, butane, and isobutane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rates have since been revised three times. On May 7, they jumped more than 25-fold to $131.60 and $118.40 per metric ton, respectively. On June 10, they were reduced slightly to $130.20 and $117.10, down 1.06 percent and 1.1 percent from the previous rates. The latest revision took effect on July 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
