July 18, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, at his meeting with his administration chief D\u017amitryj Krutoj on July 18, announced plans to hold a government conference to review progress of Belarus\u2019 investment projects in Asia and Africa, the Belarusian leader\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka noted that Belarusian actors have not been doing enough to gain a foothold on new markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The officials also plan to discuss ways to capitalize on the Belarusian leader\u2019s recent tour of China, Indonesia and Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian foreign minister is currently in Mozambique negotiating for possible deliveries of agricultural equipment and fertilizers to that country and discussing the use of its logistical infrastructure for shipping Belarusian goods to other countries in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus seeks to boost economic ties with Asian and African countries amid tensions with its traditional partners in Europe over allegations of human rights abuses and the Belarusian government\u2019s support for the Russian war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
