She was a contributor to <em>Nasha Niva<\/em>, <em>Euroradio<\/em>, <em>Belsat<\/em>, which have been branded \u201cextremist\u201d as part of the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime\u2019s crackdown on opponents since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kurs moved to Poland in 2006. In 2021, she won the prestigious Jerzy Giedroyc Literary Award for her novel <em>Pa \u0160to Idze\u0161<\/em>, Vo\u016d\u010da (What Now, Mr Wolf?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May 2025, Kurs was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer.
