July 27, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>As many as 1,917 economic entities operated at a loss in Belarus in the first five months of 2026, or 26 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, according to the National Statistics Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The net losses of these entities, however, decreased by 5.6 percent to 3,1 billion rubels ($1 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aggregate debt of Belarus\u2019 economic entities increased by 2.5 percent year-on-year to 272.6 billion rubels, with overdue debt rising by 6.8 percent to 16.1 billion rubels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging by Bie\u0142stat\u2019s data, 22.6 percent of Belarus\u2019 economic entities, excluding small businesses, were unprofitable in the first five months of 2026, or 3.9 percentage points more than in the same period of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The profitability of sales reportedly declined by 0.3 percentage point to 6.5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receivables increased by 17.3 percent to 110.6 billion rubels, with overdue receivables totaling 12.5 billion rubels, 14.7 percent more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payables rose by 14.8 percent to 128.7 billion rubels, with overdue payables amounting to 13.5 billion rubels, 4.7 percent more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
