August 4, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has sanctioned Belarusian companies Kidma Tech and Tissa for supplying components for ballistics and supporting the Russian military-industrial complex, according to Edict No. 704\/2006 dated August 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The document implements a decision adopted earlier by Ukraine\u2019s National Security and Defense Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sanctions include an asset freeze, a complete ban on trade operations and transit, restrictions on asset withdrawal from Ukraine, the suspension of economic and financial obligations, a ban on securities transactions and on the transfer of technology and intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kidma Tech, based in the Viciebsk region and sanctioned by many democratic countries, develops video surveillance, aerospace imaging and artificial intelligence systems, as well as AR- and VR-based training technologies. The company\u2019s website says it manufactures products for both military and civilian use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kidma Tech\u2019s product catalog features military equipment, including sights for small arms and armored vehicles, television and thermal imaging systems, the Berserk robotic fire control system, the Trio surface-to-air missile system among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tissa, based in Ma\u0142adzie\u010dna, Minsk region, has been active in the medical and pharmaceutical markets of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and the European Union for more than 30 years, according to its website. The company reportedly specializes in manufacturing radiation protection systems, cleanroom solutions and medical equipment. Its website does not mention any defense-related projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
