August 5, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarusian Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn has approved a pilot project to partially reimburse transportation and logistics costs related to food exports to Asia, Africa and Latin America, the government’s press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2027, manufacturers will have the opportunity to request partial compensation for logistics costs incurred in the second half of 2026 while exporting food products to government-designated \u201cdistant\u201d markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The compensation rate for finished products, including butter, cheese and baby food, was set at 50 percent and 30 percent for other food products such as poultry meat, powdered milk and dried whey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost reimbursement is linked to several mandatory conditions, including a 10-percent increase in exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Tur\u010dyn announced the government\u2019s plan to increase Belarus\u2019 exports through diversification to countries inside and outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official stressed that the export support system had been adjusted to ensure that Belarusian exporters do not limit themselves to Russia and look for new markets. In particular, the more distant the market and the more sophisticated the goods, the more financial support will be available to exporters out of the state budget, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk\u2019s efforts to expand economic cooperation with countries in Asia and Africa come amid a worsening economic situation in Russia and tensions with the European Union and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
