August 7, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian investigators have completed a probe into actions by construction industry executives accused of tax evasion and abusing their power, the Investigative Committee\u2019s press office says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspects allegedly used business-splitting schemes and other illegal methods to conceal their actual financial performance, they said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities also reportedly identified cases of unjustified involvement of intermediaries in supplying goods to state-owned companies, resulting in higher costs and violations of regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accused \u201cactively cooperated with the investigation,\u201d admitting guilt, helping establish the circumstances of the crimes and fully reimbursing the damages, the Committee said. The total amount of voluntarily paid property penalties exceeded 31.2 million rubels (about $10.6 million), it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first half of 2026, 56 people were convicted of tax evasion, according to the Supreme Court data. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
