August 21, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> As many as 19.8 percent of Belarus\u2019 economic entities, excluding small businesses, operated at a loss in the first six months of 2026, or 3.6 percentage points more than in the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistics Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The share of unprofitable economic entities reportedly increased from 14.5 to 16.6 percent in the Brest region, from 11.7 to 15.3 percent in the Viciebsk region, from 11.7 to 18.8 percent in the Homiel region, from 15.4 to 18.6 percent in the Hrodna region, from 18.1 to 20.2 percent in the Minsk region, and from 20.4 to 24.1 percent in Minsk. It decreased from 18.4 to 17.8 percent in the Mahilo\u016d region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receivables increased by 12.1 percent in the first six months of 2026 compared with the same period of the previous year to 106.8 billion rubels, with overdue receivables totaling 12.7 billion rubels, 19.8 percent more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payables rose by 9.4 percent year-on-year to 126.1 billion rubels, with overdue payables amounting to 13.8billion rubels, 10.4 percent more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
