August 24, <\/strong>Pozirk<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>. <\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka extended Independence Day greetings to the people of Ukraine on August 24, expressing confidence that \u201cfuture generations of Belarusians and Ukrainians will preserve their ages-old bonds of friendship and kinship despite geopolitical upheavals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a message published by the Belarusian ruler\u2019s press office, \u0141uka\u0161enka also expresses certainty that \u201cMinsk and Kyiv will restore mutually beneficial cooperation based on trust, respect and equality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe historical destinies of the Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples are closely intertwined,\u201d \u0141uka\u0161enka says. \u201cOur nations are united by centuries-old traditions, the memory of shared victories and severe trials.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claims that \u201chospitable Belarus is always open to every Ukrainian who comes with good intentions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian authorities support Russia in the full-scale war against Ukraine launched by Moscow in February 2022. Minsk has allowed Russian troops to attack Ukraine from the Belarusian territory on multiple occasions, supplying weapons to Russia and providing other kinds of assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
