An analysis identified the substance as a particularly dangerous psychotropic drug, the border committee said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another incident, a Polish national carrying a small packet of marijuana was arrested at the Brest-Terespol border crossing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities opened criminal cases over the illegal trafficking and cross-border transportation of drugs. The penalty for this offense is up to seven years in prison if convicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, border officials in Brest arrested a 51-year-old Russian man for attempting to smuggle 0.47 grams of cocaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarus has some of the strictest drug laws in Europe and enforces them rigorously.
