{"id":201428,"date":"2026-08-27T12:53:44","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T09:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/201428\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T12:53:46","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T09:53:46","slug":"kgb-expands-list-of-individuals-allegedly-linked-to-pozirk","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/201428\/","title":{"rendered":"KGB expands list of individuals allegedly linked to Pozirk"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 27,\u00a0<em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0New instances of politically motivated purges were reported in Belarus on August 25 and 26, including the extension of the Committee for State Security (KGB)\u2019s list of individuals allegedly associated with news agency\u00a0<em>Pozirk<\/em>, which was labelled as an \u201cextremist organization\u201d in December 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is&nbsp;<em>Pozirk\u2019s<\/em>&nbsp;recap&nbsp;of developments on Tuesday and Wednesday:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The KGB\u00a0updated its blacklist targeting\u00a0<em>Pozirk<\/em>\u00a0to include five more names:\u00a0Rus\u0142an Bacianko\u016d, Volha Byko\u016dskaja, Arciom Lava, Zachar \u0160\u010darbako\u016d, and Alaksandr Janusik, according to the information ministry.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>YouTube news channel Belarusworld was added to the information ministry\u2019s list of \u201cextremist content\u201d by order of a district judge in Minsk.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A 52-year-old resident of Minsk was arrested for allegedly insulting\u00a0Alaksandar Luka\u0161enka. Prosecutors claim that the man left an offensive comment about\u00a0Luka\u0161enka\u00a0under a news item in May 2026, acting under the influence of alcohol, according to minsknews.by.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Criminal proceedings were instituted in absentia against\u00a0rock musician\u00a0Vadzim Dubojski and Alaksandr Svirski on a number of \u201cextremism\u201d-related charges, according to the Investigative Committee.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hleb Ryb\u010danka, a 31-year-old political prisoner serving a 14-year term in Correctional Institution No. 1 in Navapo\u0142ack, Viciebsk region, is facing pressure from the prison administration, probably in punishment for communicating in Belarusian. The administration has repeatedly placed him in a punishment cell, cut off his correspondence with his family and deprives him of food parcels, meetings and phone calls, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recent amendments to the law governing the registration of legal entities require authorities to consult the KGB before deciding on the registration of private institutions and associations of legal entities, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of documented political prisoners in Belarus decreased by\u00a0one\u00a0to at 873, Viasna reported.
