September 3, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> There is strong demand in Russia\u2019s Far East in Belarusian motor fuel and machinery running on natural gas, D\u017amitryj Krutoj, head of Belarus\u2019 Presidential Administration, said after meetings with Russian governors during the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on September 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krutoj said that Belarus could supply fuel and essential goods to remote northern and eastern provinces as part of Russia\u2019s annual \u201cnorthern delivery\u201d campaign, stressing Belarusian fuel is currently in very high demand in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krutoj noted that fuel shortages are pushing mining companies, transport operators and municipal services to adopt gas\u2011powered versions of vehicles made by MAZ, BelAZ and MTZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Krutoj, several provinces want Belarusian companies involved in the development of seaport infrastructure and the Northern Sea Route, which Moscow is expanding into a wider trans\u2011Arctic transport corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krutoj added that his interlocutors also suggested improving conditions for Belarusian exporters through the creation of retail store chains and wider distribution through major Russian marketplaces such as Ozon and Wildberries, which are building large logistics hubs in the Far East after losing key facilities to Ukrainian drone strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian exporters have been increasingly reliant on Russian seaports amid sanctions imposed by the West. Belarus\u2019 exports of gasoline and diesel fuel to Russia have surged in 2026, according to Reuters, following months of relentless attacks on Russian oil refineries by Ukrainian drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
