September 12, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The 51st Artillery Brigade in Asipovi\u010dy, Mahilo\u016d region, has raised its combat readiness to the highest level as part of an ongoing inspection, the Belarusian defense ministry reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brigade Commander Siarhiej \u010cajko said the unit had completed a series of priority measures and assigned tasks. \u201cThe troops are ready,\u201d he added. \u201cWe are now awaiting the arrival of mobilization resources: conscripts and military equipment. Subsequently, the brigade will conduct combat coordination exercises with the newly formed units.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 24, State Secretary of the Security Council Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d handed Defence Minister Viktar Chrenin a formal order for training and combat tasks for \u201cone of the artillery brigades of the Armed Forces under central subordination,\u201d according to the defence ministry. Later, the brigade was identified as the 51st Artillery Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valfovi\u010d noted that unlike the previous such exercise, where orders were handed directly to unit commanders, the current drill is intended to assess the functioning of the entire chain of command \u201cfrom the defense minister down to the commander of an individual unit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian army has been conducting exercises non-stop amid tensions with the West and Russia\u2019s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
