September 21, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>A Vietnamese military delegation led by Nguyen Trong Nghia, chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People\u2019s Army, has arrived in Belarus, the Belarusian defense ministry reported on 21 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official visit, which will last \u201cseveral days,\u201d will involve talks on bilateral military\u2011political cooperation, meetings with Belarus\u2019 military top brass, and visits to memorial sites and museums described as having great historical and cultural significance for Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vietnam\u2019s People\u2019s Army<\/em> Newspaper Online<\/em> reported that Nguyen Trong Nghia is making two consecutive trips, to Belarus and Algeria, in accordance with 2026 plans of cooperation with the defense ministries of the two countries. The declared objective of the visits is to maintain high\u2011level contacts between the Vietnam People\u2019s Army and the military leadership of Belarus and Algeria, and to advance defense cooperation with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 24, Valeryj Ravienka, chief of the defense ministry\u2019s International Cooperation Department, announce that the ministry had accredited Vietnam\u2019s military attach\u00e9, Kao Ngok Kha. Ravienka added that Vietnam\u2019s chief of the General Staff and other military officials were expected to visit Minsk this year, while Belarusian troops would participate in an exercise in Vietnam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
