September 23, Pozirk.<\/strong> A combat readiness exercise for Air\/Air Defense units kicked off on September 23. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We see situations where UAVs fly into the territory of Poland and the Baltic states, and our closest neighbors, NATO member states, cannot do anything about this,\u201d State Secretary of the Security Council Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d was quoted as saying by state media. He cited the incursions as proof of the necessity of the drill but did not mention the fact that some of the invading drones come from Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valfovi\u010d said that the exercise would take place in a \u201ccomplex and dynamic aerial environment\u201d and include more than 70 episodes. Aircraft used by not only the defense ministry but also the emergency management ministry, the State Broder Committee and the Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy (DOSAAF) wil be deployed to represent the simulated enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valfovi\u010d announced maneuvers involving combat fighter jets at altitudes exceeding 12 kilometers (7.5 miles)and UAVs flying 50 meters (164 feet) above the ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian army has been conducting exercises non-stop amid tensions with the West and Russia\u2019s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
