September 24, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> A federal jury in Boston found 37-year-old Kiry\u0142 Hardziej, a dual Belarusian-US citizen, guilty of illegally exporting advanced equipment from the United States to Russia, the US Attorney\u2019s Office for the District of Massachusetts reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man was convicted of conspiracy to commit offenses against the US and smuggling goods from the US for selling to Russia a spectrometer which is a commerce control item, it noted. US District Court Judge Myong J. Joun scheduled sentencing for January 12, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hardziej headed Apelsin Logistics, a freight forwarding company, located in Florida with another address in Russia and two websites registered and hosted in Russia. In August 2023, he reportedly exported an Orbitrap Exploris GC 240 mass spectrometer used in industry research and government laboratories from the US to Russia via Turkey in violation of the licensing requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hardziej \u201cwent to great lengths to evade US export controls, falsifying the destination of controlled technology and routing it through Turkey before sending it to Russia,\u201d said US Attorney Leah B.
