September 24, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has again pointed to a decline in trade with Pakistan as he met Pakistan\u2019s Senate Speaker Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani today in Minsk, the Belarusian ruler\u2019s press office says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka attributed the drop largely to existing payment infrastructure and said Belarus had experienced no problems or delays in processing payments. He expressed hope that Gilani\u2019s visit would help resolve similar issues on the Pakistani side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian politician also asked Giliani to facilitate a \u201cthorough review\u201d of bilateral relations through the intergovernmental commission. He said the two sides should review the implementation of existing projects and move without delay toward \u201careas of cooperation that Pakistan and Belarus need today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe level of political and parliamentary cooperation we currently have clearly does not match the level of economic cooperation,\u201d \u0141uka\u0161enka noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, the Belarusian ruler noted a 20-percent drop in trade with Pakistan in 2025 as he met Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
