September 25, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Citizens of Belarus and Russia will be able to stay in the territory of the other country for an unlimited period, the Union State standing committee\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes were included in a protocol to the agreement between the two countries on ensuring equal rights for citizens regarding freedom of movement, choice of place of stay and residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration will be required for stays exceeding 90 days. The protocol also allows citizens to obtain temporary residence permits in the other country based on their citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusians will not be subject to quotas when obtaining temporary residence permits in Russia. They will also be able to enter, exit, transit through, travel within, and stay in Russia using biometric documents for departure from and entry into Belarus along with identification cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Birth certificates for children under 14 years of age are removed from the list of documents required of Russians for entry, exit, transit, travel and stay in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
