September 25, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian envoy to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Andrej Dapkiunas blasted Ukraine and praised Russia at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on September 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dapkiunas accused Kyiv of \u201cbrutally reformatting the country\u2019s state identity contrary to its multinational and multidenominational nature\u201d after 2014, apparently referring to the Euromaidan revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyiv \u201cbased this identity on the idea of national exceptionality, the glorification of western Ukrainian nationalism and anti-Russian rhetoric,\u201d he claimed, calling it \u201cone of the important causes of the tragedy of modern Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He defended the Russian occupation of Ukraine, saying that \u201cnot a single country that respects itself can quietly watch this state anti-project on its border.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also criticized Ukraine\u2019s plans to erect monuments to the founders of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, whom he described as war criminals and Nazi collaborators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dapkiunas echoed Russia\u2019s anti-Ukrainian narratives, which are also reflected in a joint report on human rights \u201cin certain countries\u201d compiled by the foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia and released in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report brands the Ukrainian government \u201ca Nazi regime following every footstep of its ideological inspiration from Nazi Germany.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, attacking its neighbor from its own territory and from Belarus. Minsk continues to support Moscow\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
