September 30, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Belarusian measures to counter Western sanctions have reduced asset outflow from the country by 15 times, Prosecutor General D\u017amitryj Hora has told the 36th meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) chief prosecutors in Russia\u2019s Kazan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian authorities, including the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office, have developed a set of counter-sanctions, including restrictions on financial transactions, such as the payment of profits and dividends to individuals from unfriendly countries, as well as the sale of real estate, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Existing measures allow authorities to impose temporary external administration to prevent the unjustified shutdown of companies with foreign capital and protect their workforces, he said, pointing out potential penalties when parties terminate credit and loan agreements with Belarusian entities early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years ago, the Belarusian government\u00a0limited payments of profit and dividends to owners and shareholders of Belarus-based companies from states Minsk considers \u201cunfriendly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
