October 12, Pozirk<\/em><\/strong>. Non-food goods were the main driver of inflation in Belarus in September, with prices rising 3.7 percent year on year, up from 3.2 percent in August, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) said in its recent report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services prices also contributed to inflation, accelerating to 9 percent last month after an 8.7-percent increase in August, the analysts noted, forecasting inflation at around 5 percent by the end of 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices climbed by 0.5 percent in September, with a 4.6-percent increase in the 12 months to September, according to official data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 consumer prices reportedly rose by 6.8 percent in 2025, whereas the government had projected an inflation rate of no more than 5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the National Bank\u2019s Main Monetary Policy Guidelines for 2026, the inflation rate is projected not to exceed 7 percent this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
