The former deputy chief of the Chojniki border control unit, who led the local chapter of the pro-government Belarusian National Youth Union, was found guilty of facilitating \u201cextremist activities\u201d over alleged links to Bie\u0142aruski Hajun, an online initiative that monitored Russian military activities in Belarus from 2022 to 2025. He is serving his term in Penal Colony No. 3 in Viciebsk, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blogger Andrej Duniko\u016dski was arrested on September 14 for allegedly insulting Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka with GIF images and humorous videos published on his Telegram channel. After three days in police custody, Duniko\u016dski was released on bail, but the criminal case against him has not been closed, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Baranavi\u010dy Inter-District Prosecutor\u2019s Office found a set of document covers featuring white-red-white stripes and the Pahonia emblem, symbols associated with opposition to Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, on the Russian online marketplace Ozon and ordered its Belarus store to remove them. The items have since been taken down, according to the Brest Regional Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>The information ministry has added 12 Facebook, Threads, Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok accounts to its list of \u201cextremist content,\u201d the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>The number of documented political prisoners in Belarus decreased by one to 885, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
