Stanis\u0142a\u016d Botvin, Natalla Hu\u017eava, Kastu\u015b Kirylenka, Ihar Licha\u010d, Volha Niachaj\u010dyk, Lizavieta Plitnik, Andrej Pupkievi\u010d, Iryna Trafimik and Ivan Amalan are facing charges of conspiring to seize state power and involvement with extremist groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>Individuals who have been punished for \u201cextremism\u201d-related criminal or minor offence charges are barred from membership in the National Academy of Sciences under its revised Charter, amended by a recent Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s edict.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>The Committee for State Security (KGB) has added 16 individuals to its list of \u201cpersons involved in terrorist activities\u201d and removed 19 people from the list in September and October 2026, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>Belarus\u2019 political prisoner include at least one single father, 23 men with more than three children, and 86 men whose children are below 18 years of age. Some of those children have disabilities or have been placed in orphanages, the Viasna Human Rights Center said in a report on Father\u2019s Day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>The number of documented political prisoners in Belarus remained unchanged at 885, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
