The Belarusian politician also addressed sanctions on the Belarusian authorities, support for jailed dissidents and the situation of the Belarusian community in Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cichano\u016dskaja discussed expanding cooperation between Estonia and Belarusian pro-democracy forces at the international level, including the organization of joint events during upcoming international events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tsahkna reaffirmed that Estonia would continue to support the Belarusian pro-democracy forces and stressed the importance of accountability for those responsible for human rights violations in Belarus, the Estonian foreign ministry reported. \u201cA free and democratic Belarus is in the security interests of Estonia and the region,\u201d&nbsp;he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efforts to secure the end political reprisals and release of political prisoners in Belarus should lead to unjustified easing of restrictive measures, Tsahkna added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon her arrival in Estonia yesterday, Cichano\u016dskaja met with European Union representatives and diplomats from countries supporting Belarusian pro-democracy forces.
