November 3, Pozirk. United States President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize just for preventing Europe from “unleashing a nuclear conflict,” Alaksandar Lukašenka has told a Eurasian security conference that opened in Minsk today.

“Let him receive this Peace Prize,” he said. “Forgive me for speaking personally again: if this prize were offered to me or to [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergey Lavrov, we would definitely refuse it. . . Well, if the man wants it, we should give it to him. He is truly keeping Mother Europe from a Third World War, which could end in a nuclear conflict. We must support all efforts to stabilize the situation on the planet.”

Łukašenka also argued that a nuclear strike would pose a threat even across the ocean, adding that Trump was doing something significant by preventing such a conflict, regardless of his motives.

However, the Belarusian ruler also acknowledged that Trump’s policies were polarizing the world and attracting justified criticism.

Last month, Trump complained about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, awarded to former International Criminal Court judge Navi Pillay this year.
