September 21,\u00a0Pozirk<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong>The Belarusian army\u2019s regular exercises starting on September 22 are not a threat yet represent “a certain danger,” said Ukraine’s Joint Forces Commander Serhiy Nayev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five training ranges, aircraft and military units will be involved, he said, noting that Ukraine has stepped up security and is preparing its forces for an adequate response as “normal military practice.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine will deploy additional troops should the threat increase, he added. “We should have enough forces to counterbalance\u201d it, Nayev stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian defense ministry is holding military drills at a number of sites in the Brest, Hrodna and Minsk regions from September 22 to 26 to improve military command skills to control and manage troops on a battlefield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
