September 21,\u00a0Pozirk<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong>Poland has warded off hybrid attacks from Belarus for the two past years and gears up for an escalation, Defense Minister Mariusz B\u0142aszczak told officials in charge of national security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, acting on the Kremlin\u2019s instructions, keeps inviting illegal migrants from the Middle East and Africa to make them cross into the European Union, TVP Info<\/a> <\/em>reported citing the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defense minister recalled an massive attack by migrants on Polish border guards and security forces two years ago, praising a joint effort by the border guards, army and law enforcers to repel it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lithuania’s Defense Minister Arvydas Anu\u0161auskas also attended the meeting in Krynki, Podlaskie voivodship, near the Polish-Belarusian border. He announced that Lithuanian soldiers will train in Poland to operate HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lithuania and Poland also reached an agreement on joint preparation of military drills, BNS<\/em> reported<\/a> citing the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both countries are drafting more detailed defense plans taking into account progress in defense cooperation, Anu\u0161auskas stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
