{"id":3662,"date":"2023-10-02T23:07:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T20:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=3662"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"lukasenka-unveils-key-forecast-parameters-for-2024","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/3662\/","title":{"rendered":"\u0141uka\u0161enka unveils key forecast parameters for 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>October 2,\u00a0<em>Pozirk.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has approved the key economic forecast parameters for\u00a02024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government projects&nbsp;the gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 3.8 percent, capital expenditures by 3.9 percent, exports of goods and services by 7.6 percent, real income by 3.9 percent,&nbsp;real disposable income by 3.5 percent, inflation by 6 percent or less,&nbsp;nominal average monthly pay by up to 2,087 rubels (1,634 rubels in the public sector), and international reserves by at least $6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Belarusian leader also instructed the government to adopt a target plan for 2024. &#8220;Its tasks will be aimed at balanced economic growth without the risk of provoking macroeconomic shocks and the associated increase in the living standards of the population,&#8221; \u0141uka\u0161enka&#8217;s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key forecast parameters for 2023 were approved in November. Minsk expected the economy to grow by 3.8 percent, real disposable income by 4.1 percent, capital expenditures by 22.3 percent, and exports of goods and services by 5.5 percent. \u0141uka\u0161enka planned to keep inflation below 7-8 percent, while the government \u2013 below 6 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the National Statistics Committee, GDP growth for January-August 2023 was 3.1 percent, while consumer prices rose by 2.93 percent. The real disposable income of the population increased by 4.5 percent from January to July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trade in goods and services increased by 13.4 percent in the first seven months of 2023 (exports: 6.4 percent; imports: 21.4 percent), but suffered a negative balance of $100.3 million, compared to a positive balance of $3.05 billion in the same period of 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 2,\u00a0Pozirk.\u00a0Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has approved the key economic forecast parameters for\u00a02024.
