However, Vasilievi\u010d was released in the courtroom, the unregistered Viasna Human Rights Center reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t According to Radio Svaboda, judge Maryna Fiodarava decided to release Vasilievi\u010d, as &#8220;the period of prosecution had expired.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The trial of the co-founder of the online magazines kyky.org and The Village Belarus, the owner of the Vondel\/Hepta agency and the&nbsp;\u040e&nbsp;Gallery, 47-year-old Aliaksandr Vasilievi\u010d, began on January 24.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The state prosecutor applied for the trial to be held in a closed session. He said that the court would examine the activities of companies not specified in the indictment, while the files of some witnesses were transferred to a separate proceeding for verification.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Vasilievi\u010d was detained on August 28, 2020 and accused of tax evasion. All this time he remained in custody.
